LCA members are eligible to apply for the LMA Institute’s two formally recognised and accredited qualifications. In partnership with our selected Academic Institutions, the University of Liverpool and Southampton Solent University, both qualifications combine rigorous academic principles with vocationally relevant content and insights.
LMA DIPLOMA IN FOOTBALL MANAgEMENT.
OVERVIEW
Running for 19 years, and delivered in partnership with the University of Liverpool and supported by the PFA, the LMA Diploma in Football Management is a formal one-year degree-level accredited course delivered through residential weeks, monthly masterclass sessions, group work and presentations.
PURPOSE
The Diploma is designed for practitioners considering or already in professional club management. It provides a bridge between the game’s formal technical qualifications and the leadership and management realities of working in the professional game. Each individual is encouraged to build a set of core leadership and management skills that will support them throughout their career in the game.

CERTIFICATE IN PROFESSIONAL SPORT MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION.
OVERVIEW.
The LMA Certificate in Professional Sport Management and Administration is now in its twenty second year. Delivered by the Global Institute of Sport (GIS) and the League Administrators Association (LAA), the course is equivalent to a first year business degree and credits earned can be transferred to other accredited educational courses.
PURPOSE.
The course is designed to provide a grounding in the key area of focus for current and future football executives and administrators.
It comprises 6 two-day modules.
